Abstract

Simulation is a method for describing system action, build theory or hipothesis for the system and predict the system action. This project, the simulation of import system for dry bulk cargo at Dry Bulk Terminal, Johor Port Berhad includes the simulation of queue system and maintenance management system. The built simulation model is symbolic model with the type of discrete, stochastic and dinamic for the objective is to reduce the ships service time so that the ship turn-round rate will improve. The real model and the proposed model is built using the ProModel 4.22 Network Version and the Stat::Fit package is used for analyzing input data. Analysis of output data for the real model and the proposed model is for validation of the real model, measurement of the real model and comparison of the system performance between the real model and the proposed model.
