Abstract

Operating systems differ in function and design. ROM able operating system is an operating system that is small in size and can be operated with minimal hardware. It can be fitted into a ROM chip for use with embedded systems. This project develops a kernel for ROM able operating system. A kernel is the core of the operating system that handles processes and system calls. The kernel is tested on Flight-68K single board computer. The language used is assembly language.
