Abstract

Quality control is a continuous process in order to achieve,maintain and improve the quality of procducts and services. Quality control system for Shinyei Kaisha Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd is developed to help the company in upgrading the quality of products as well as improves its quality control process. The current manual system has caused cost and time wasted because data and records have to rewrite for many times into a particular form to report any rejected product. To overcome these problem, a system that are complete and able to manage the collecting process and data quality analyses with more efficient is developed. For system development purpose, SDLC with waterfall paradigm has been chosen as the methodology. This system is developed for control the quality of an electronics product that called film capacitors. A few of Statistical Process Control were used in this system such as control diagram, Pareto chart and histogram. Quality reports can be generate effective and accurately by using this quality control system. The most appropriate size of sample to represent a specific lot will be determined automatically using sampling techniques. Borland Delphi 7.0 and Paradox 7 were used as the main sollware to develop this quality control system. Hopefully, with the existence of this quality control system, the current quality control process will be improved and be more effective hence to minimize the production cost.
