Car cruise system is one of the systems invented from recent growth and continous research in motoring world technology to help drivers especially during long and tiring journey. This technology helps by giving advantage to drivers in reducing fatigue from continuingly stepping on the gas pedal, brake and clutch in order to maintain consistent speed during long driving trip. The computerized cruise system also helps in reducing the amount of fuel usage. This system will maintain the car at a constant speed as set by the driver. The main objective of this project in general is to provide an illustration on how the multithreading are applied in developing a simulation for car cruise system. User interacts with the simulation via a user interface specifically developed to receive input, send it to related classes and then display the processed results back as outputs. The project also implements the concepts of object-oriented programming in its development. Modified Waterfall model methodology was chosen as development process guidelines and controls in order for the development process to run according to standards that has been set. This simulation is developed using Netbeans 5.5.1, a software from Sun Microsystem using JAVA as the development language. The final result of this development project will be a simulation for car cruise system, applying multithreading as well as object-oriented programming. This simulation will also simulate the safety features on a car.
