Abstract

Information is the core of everything around us. Our entire existence is a process of gathering, analyzing, understanding, and acting on the information. Thus, a study on database of Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru is done to ease the process of analyzing patient's data. This study is focused only on the internal patient's data that already exists in Hospital Sultanah Aminah's database. As a result from the study, it is found that the analyzing process is done manually and this is a time consuming task. To curb this problem, a Hospital Management Information System(HMIS) which uses the application of data mining is developed. Data mining is the latest technology founded to extract the useful information from database. So. HMIS is a information management system developed to extract the useful information from Hospital Sultanah Aminah's (HSA) database to identify the pattern of hidden information and display it in form of graphic. This system is hoped to assist or help the management department in taking actions based on the information gained. Structured Analysis and Design Method (SADM) methodology is used in this system to fulfill the need of all users. This methodology uses waterfall model as a guidance throughout the system to produce systhematic steps. In conclusion, HMIS is hoped to ease and fasten the process of analyzing the patient's data in HSA
