Abstract

Nowadays, the field of recognition becomes more popular among researchers. There are a few techniques used in this filed such as Hidden Markov Model and neural network. The objective of this project is to develop a prototype,which would be able to recognize digit hand written 0 to 9 using neural network technique. Data comprises of 200 samples of digit hand-written 0 to 9 taken from 20 people per digit. Pre-processing is done manually while normalization is done using the 'cut into normal' method. The purpose of this project is to observe how successful neural network can recognize these digits. The result for this whole recognition is 81%.
