Abstract

In an unsecured communication line especially in sending email, information is exposed to many threats from illegal parties. To ensure the information did not go to the wrong hand, an effective approach is through cryptogaphic control. Thereupon, a key exchange software tool based on Diffie Hellman key exchange algorithm is developed in this project. This software tool known as MyKET, provides key exchange, as well as encryption and decryption services in the form of wizard without the use of key generation server. Key exchange service generates 32bit public key and session key while the encryption and decryption service use a 160 bit key. The encryption and decryption key size is obtained by hashing the session key with SHA-1 algorithm. Encryption and decryption service employ a Blowfish algorithm. With this advantages, MyKET provides users a confidentiality security service in transmittins documents.
