Abstract

The used of sound card as a middle inserting medium to computer are setting popular. Among popular data that involve are like sending audio file through streaming, computer games,chatting software such as Netmeeting, WebTalk or video conferencing with combination of image and sound. It is good if we can see or manipulate the data insertion to sound card for analyst and for certain related research. The purpose of this project is to develop an electronic oscilloscope application that can read input data from sound card and display it as a real time. Oscilloscope that being develop have the function of changing time domain to frequency domain using FFT technique, save file for certain time range and oscilloscope standard such as time voltage view, trigger level with scale and amplitude changes. This oscilloscope software have been developed using C++ programming language and UML object oriented method in Windows environment. Other than oscilloscope function, this software can be see as frequency analyst. Sound frequency component from sound card can be see based of frequency display (FFT). This software hopefully can gives benefit to science computer students that incapable to use original oscilloscope and can get exposure about oscilloscope function with software that have been develop.
