Abstract

In this modern age, the highly sophisticated information technology has brought a lot of benefits to us during our interaction with other people for various purposes in our daily life. However, the phenomenon of security attacks emerges upon the communication among other people that become more seriously nowadays. As the security of data transfer during communication cannot be neglected, a complete data security service with high reliability is necessary. Consequently, CA and RA service system for the implementation of PKI in telemedicine is developed to ensure the data security of telemedicine's affairs. However, this project focuses on the private and health records of the patients. This system is important for ensuring that the patients' records, which require high confidentiality and integrity, can be avoided from being hacked or modified by unauthorized person. Methodology that was used during the system development is Waterfall Model. The final result of this project is a subsystem that is able to provide the services of CA and RA, that is the issuing and managing of digital certificates, for the use of specified person in telemedicine. This subsystem is integrated with other subsystems to establish a complete PKI system that specially utilized as the infrastructure for protecting the sensitive data of telemedicine. As a conclusion, it is believed that the CA and RA service system for the implementation of PKI in telemedicine will able to provide the undoubted assurance for the security of patients' data transmission in telemedicine.
