Abstract

Nowadays, the usage of wireless tools and technology had been used very widely in many fields including the medical field in line with its needs, importance and effectiveness. The conventional ways of monitoring patient have many weaknesses and are not efficient to be use anymore. This patient monitoring system in the intensive care unit is one of a kind system that will make the monitoring process easier for the doctor, will improve the communication level between the user and will innovate the calling method for emergency case that occur in the ICU. These SPPWICU systems use PC Pocket, camera web, tablet pen and wireless Fidelity technology or WiFi for the development. The methodology used for the system development is Evolution Prototype Model. Besides saving cost and decreasing risks, it also includes users in the system development as a major important part of the development. The system hopefully will benefit by simplifying the operation of monitoring patients by the hospital.
