On-line services through internet such as e-commerce, e-book, e-job and e-business are gaining popularity amongst us. This project is mainly focused on the objective of applying scholarship/loan through the internet and processing each application automatically without the aid of the current manual forms. The On-line Scholarship / Loan Application and Processing System is to be implemented in Yayasan Pelajaran Johor (YPJ). This system was proposed after analyses the current problems in YPJ and the problems that students face whenever they apply for scholarship or loan from YPJ. The students, also wish to apply for scholarship or loan find it very hard to get the scholarships loan application forms. YPJ has to allocate a lot of time, money and staff to print, distribute, collect and process each scholarship forms individually. The scholarship applicants also find difficulties in getting the results of their applications. The development of this system will be according to the UML methodology and using the Object Oriented approach. This proposed project is expected to solve these problems in YPJ. It would give an effective and new alternative for students to apply for the scholarship/loan using the World Wide Web and for the YPJ to process each application forms easily and faster. Most importantly, this system will help to improve the quality of application processing immensely and to increase the effectiveness of the current running system.
