Abstract

Earlier in the research of expert system, deductive reasoning was used. An intensive studies on the field has resulted several advance reasoning techniques. One of the techniques is Case Base Reasoning (CBR). CBR is a concept where past experiences will be taken into consideration when a decision to be made. This project will review the concept of CBR in modelling an expert system and developing an expert system model which is based on the concept of CBR. The important features of CRR are the system must have a case base which contains all cases together with the solution to the cases or problems, an indexing technique which is important during the case retrieve and a measure of modifying the solution of cases, which does not fully match with the new case. Human anatomy science is an area that has many facts to understand and to integrate,in order to solve problems presented clinically. Problems in human anatomy are naturally presented as cases that need help from past experiences.The main objective of the project is to model an expert system based on the concept of case bass reasoning. For that purpose human anatomy is the best area to be applied.
