In the current business world, transaction processing has become a common activity in the exchange of information between two sides. Most business organizations nowadays have shifted from manual transaction processing systems to computer-aided transaction processing systems. In line with these changes, the development plans for Golden Hope Plantations Berhad Crop Data Management System was put forward. The system is going to be developed for the main reason of helping employees of Golden Hope Plantations Berhad in collecting and managing crop data from the estates for marketing and selling purposes. The system being used currently is a manual based system that takes up a lot of human work force. It is hoped that with the implementation of this system, the work force can be decreased and channeled to more important departments. In line with the current technology, this system will be developed as a dynamic web-based application using ASP with Microsoft Access as the database. The development methodology chosen is Rational Unified Process, which happens to be an object-oriented methodology. This system will be able to aid the process of ordering raw plantation material ordering. It is hoped that with the utilization of this system, the process of collecting and managing crop data in Golden Hope headquarters would be easier than before.
