Abstract

The availability of truck to fulfill customers's order is a common problem for large companies. This is also faced by Supermix Concrete(M) Sdn. Bhd. We have developed an Intelligent Truck Scheduling and Routing System to solve the above problem through maximizing the utilization of resources (trucks). Naturally, Intelligent Truck Scheduling and Routing System consists of four main components which are Database, Graphic User Interface, Knowledge Base and Inference Engine. Intelligent Truck Scheduling and Routing System can also be divided into two different environments that are Art*Enterprise Environment and Windows Environment. The tools used to developed Intelligent Truck Scheduling and Routing System are Art*Enterprise and Dbase IV. Art Enterprise is used for development of Intelligent System to solve Scheduling and Routing Problem whereas Dbase IV is used for developing database to store all the information into Intelligent Truck Scheduling and Routing System.
