Abstract

Technical or mechanical drawing is used by the student to design the model in three different views. The views comprise of the top view, side view and front view. Techincal drawing is based on a single student’s imagination and ideas of an object. The problem happens when the final product is yet to analyze and view in different angles and how to collaboratively design the model by more than one user. So, the objective of this project is to tackle on both requirements i.e. to transform 2D drawing into 3D object environment and to provide an environment that allows multi-user to interactively participate in the design process. The project uses prototype model as the development methodology and implement JAVA and VRML as the development tools. However, the scope will limit an object with a flat surface. The successful end product is only an application with the facility of collaborative environment for three users to design their object. To convert 2D drawing into 3D not be able to complete.
