Abstract

User Authentication via neural network is one of a method that has been long been under investigation. As more users are allowed to access to remote data, computer security has become an issue among researchers and computer scientist. The main purpose of this project is to prove the effectiveness of using the method called keystroke dynamics for user authentication. It is based on human characteristics or better known as biometrics. At the same time, this project is to clarify that the technique, neural network will be able to classify data that has been collected from authorized and unauthorized user. The system under investigation was implemented using ADALINE and backpropagation network. This research is important for the years to come as a new alternative for computer security. Thus, in this project, the method known as keystroke dynamics, can be implemented using neural network in classifying the data
