Abstract

software quality assurance is an important issue in the world of software development. There are several models for software quality assurance which describe the principles and practices underlying software process maturity. However, these models are usually implemented by large organisations and hardly to be used by small or medium organisations because of the nature of software quality assessment and improvement which are complex, lengthy and is a slow process. Therefore, the system is a self-diagnosis system to help internal software developers evaluate their maturity of software process base on the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) at level 2 and thus start implementing process improvement towards their software process. This system is developed using artificial intelligence approach in the methodology, techniques and tools. It is hope that the system is able to lead inexperienced software developers to improve the software process thus producing high quality software.
