Abstract

UTM's New Converts Online Guidance System is a guidance system that will fulfill the needs of new muslim converts around the vicinity of UTM in leading them to a deeper understanding of Islam, The idea of developing this system arises after realizing that there is no specific guidance system for them other than attending classes arranged by UTM and Jabatan Agama Johor (JAJ). This situation complicates new converts to attend the classes due to time constraint. The objective of this system is to develop a systematic guidance system that will help new converts learn more about Islam without time and place constraint. This system is developed specifically for new converts around the vicinity of UTM and UTM lecturers involved. The system consists of two main parts that is the users (constituting of new converts) and the lecturer's portion. The user's section is made up of the learning module, forum, appointment and lecturer's information. on the other hand, the lecturer,s section consists of the maintenance section for the learning modules, time table and appointment, new converts' information, lecturer's information and forum section. The methodology that is used for the system is Unified Modelling Language (UML). The system is hoped to help new converts in the vicinity of UTM to have a better understanding of Islam and also to aid the lecturers involved in giving proper guidance to them.
