Abstract

Web-base HIV Risk Assessment System (SPJHiv) is a knowledge-based system where the sources of information are collected from 6ooks, article and internet. SPJHiv is developed to help people to make an assessment level of HIV infection if any, based on their lifestyle. The architecture of Knowledge-based system includes the main important components that are interface, knowledge base and inference engine. An interface allows user to interact with the system to make an assessment. Input from the user will be evaluated using rules from the knowledge-base. The result will be produced by inference engine, using the relevant rules in the knowledge-base. The technique used to find relevant rules is forward chaining. This is because the result of assessment depends on the questions answered by the user. The system will produce the result whether user is categorized as high risk, low or no risk infection. Prototype methodology is used to develop this system because the system development can repeated to improve its performance until the requirements are met. This system is designed on web-based to allow user to have easy assess to the system.
