The purpose of this report is to examine and analyse the way to optimize Data Security Algorithm execution time. The algorithm which have been selected in this case study is the Data Encryption Standard (DES). Vectorization and Parallel Processing techniques will be applied to this algorithm The algorithm that irhplemented with vectorization and parallel processing techniques and also implemented serially, is executed on a CRAY Supercomputer. The execution time from both algorithms will be compared graphically to show the difference of the algorithm which was executed serially and parallelly.
