Abstract

VRML is an acronym for the Virtual Reality Modelling Language. A VRML world blends 2D and 3D objects, animation, and multimedia effects into a single medium. Combination of those media, script language and the ability of internet produced a new interactive multimedia application that is 'Exploring FSKSM Building With Virtual Reality'. It's an application to help users especially students and visitors to find the location of spaces and places in the FSKSM building. This system is installed in a website open for everybody. With the application of elements of multimedia, the system is designed to be more interesting with the addition of audio, animations, graphics and images. However, this system is only implemented in a few locations only Users can explore deep into the FSKSM building using the "walk through" concept in which they can interact with interactive 3D objects and get all the information they need. The usage of buttons and icons make the system user friendly and easy for first time users.
