Abstract

Real Audio and Real Video system Proxy Server is developed overcome and increase the effectiveness entertainment communication media assessment through internet stream which connected to Intranet by preparing proxy engine to handle easily, quick and effective Real Audio and Real Video applications. The proxy in this project is develop because to add an extra feature to existing FWTK software implemented in the firewall. The construction of proxy depends on streaming control based on router to protect heavy traffic from direct network streams because most proxy contains extra logging or supporting consumer's certification. The process of server configuration in this Real Audio and Real Video Proxy Server used C (Socket programming), Linux and a part of Firewall Tools Kid (FWTK) but did not affect security programming (using C). This project is divided into two main parts. The first part is developing the interface for the purpose of admin use using Java language and the second part is to provide a proxy as a main door to access to the flow of Real Audio and Real video through firewall using two network cards.
