Abstract

Many techniques have been used to make the process of identifying features of a solid object can be done automatically. Before those ways are known, that process is done manually in the manufacturing industries. This project on feature identification system is being done to build a system that will detect the design characteristic of a model (solid model). Recognition system using an AAG technique and features such as slots, steps, blind step, blind slot and pockets, are recognized and then extracted from the solid model data structure by using predefined rules in the system. The input file for this system will be a matrix that represent as solid object in the form of AAG.
